Every 12 minutes a woman in America dies of breast cancer. Yet, with early detection, doctors believe that number could be significantly reduced.

In 2016, the American Cancer Society estimates 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in U.S. women, as well as an estimated 61,000 new cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed (CIS is non-invasive and is the earliest form of breast cancer). Lastly, approximately 40,450 women will die from breast cancer this year.

Mammography with Style

WOW=WELLNESS OF WOMEN

mammoWOW is a breast health program initiative established by Optimal Imaging to encourage Jacksonville ladies to have their annual mammogram.

Creating a spa-like experience, we believe ladies will take a second look at the ‘have to’ screening and begin to view it as something to look forward to. An evening with friends, enjoying a massage, refreshments and most importantly, receiving their annual mammogram. Optimal Imaging is committed to increasing overall breast health awareness and believe this program is key to being more actively involved with our patients.

mammoWOW parties are FUN!

As we know, ladies struggle with being overcommitted with their family and career obligations; and, often times, finding during their daily routine is difficult to coordinate their mammogram. Yet offering an after-hours, relaxing and enjoyable evening, ladies are able to ENJOY taking care of their health.

mammoWOW is an opportunity to share an evening with friends and co-workers enjoying the spa-like experience with massage, wine, appetizers and most especially, giving themselves the personal gift of their breast health.

“We are pleased with the overwhelming response to our program. Women seem to enjoy this new ‘style’ of screening mammography,” said Dr. Tony Toledo, a radiologist and President, McClow, Clark and Berk. “It saves lives.”

Optimal Imaging has made a commitment to making mammograms fun! These events are held at our RIVERSIDE location (2345 Forbes Street).

MOST IMPORTANTLY,  a screening mammogram does not require a physician’s order or referral.
